willhill.uk – With Lewis Hamilton’s fantastic victory in China on Sunday it has left the title race in exactly the same format it was in last season with Hamilton going in to the last race at Brazil holding a 7 point gap over his nearest rival Massa and that is the only difference between this and last year because last year it was Raikkonen.
The race itself in China was really a formality once Lewis got off the grid quick in his pole position place to take the first bend in the lead and to be truthful he never looked in any danger of giving up the lead in any part of the race and drove out a very professional race from start to finish with him looking very quick all weekend starting on the practice session on Thursday.
Although things are looking good in the drivers’ championship for McLaren it is the constructors championship where they have been left behind largely due to Hamilton’s team mate Heikki Kovalainen only picking up 51 points so far in a disappointing season compared Hamilton’s total of 94 which has left Ferrari with an 11 point gap going in to the last race in Brazil which just like last season will have all the F1 fans from all around the world glued to their TV sets no matter what the time is in their respective countries.
Personally I think Lewis has learned his lesson from last season and will not blow his chance like he did last year and I fully expect him to be crowned the youngest EVER world champion at the interlagos track in Brazil and finally give British racing fans something to shout about again.
