After this weekend’s Football action the Premiership title will once again be making its way to Old Trafford and with the colours of Manchester United wrapped around it, this weekend was full of excitement with 11 goals scored in the two games involving the top two scrapping it out for the title in Manchester United and Liverpool.

Liverpool who played first in the day made the journey across England to face Hull City who is struggling near the relegation trap door of the Premiership and too be honest it showed evidently.

Goals from Alonso and Dutch hit-man Kuyt (2) and a consolation effort from Brazilian Geovanni were enough to give Liverpool a 3-1 win and close the gap but they were really hoping for Tottenham to do them a massive favour in their match at Old Trafford later that night but it wasn’t to be.

After Tottenham had surprisingly gone into a shock 2-0 half time lead the 2nd half totally belonged to United although they did have a little help from the referee along the way after he gave United a penalty early in the 2nd half to give them a way back into the match after Gomez clearly got the ball 1stin a clash with Michael Carrick who had burst into the area after a brilliant pass from Rooney and Ronaldo stepped up to score from the spot, further goals from Rooney (2) Berbatov and another from Ronaldo gave United a 5-2 win and now barring a miracle will once again pick up the Premiership trophy within the next couple of weeks.
